At Cardinal Way Culinary Co., we’re committed to providing a safe, welcoming and enjoyable dining experience for everyone. We understand that choosing vegan or vegetarian foods may be important to you for religious beliefs, personal values or preferences, and we’re here to support your choices with dining options that meet your needs.

  • Make sure to visit the Grown station, which is fully devoted to plant-based eating, with a bold menu drawing on flavor traditions, global cultures and trending tastes. At UCook, you can customize your own dish using a variety of non-meat proteins, vegetables and sauces, and you can customize your own salad at the salad bar. If you’re at Sizzle (the grill), you can ask the cook for a black bean burger!
  • The Cardinal Nest has a variety of vegan and vegetarian options, such as Impossible burgers at The Cardinal Grill; smoothies with dairy-alternate options (such as non-dairy milk, juice or coconut water), and vegan chorizo quesadillas at Cloud Kitchen; vegan pizza slices at North Country Pizza; and build-your-own salads and wraps at Seasons Simply 3.
    Halal Shack offers items like falafel pitas and cauliflower bites; Craft It at Kent Café has vegan chicken for BYO sandwiches; and our grab-and-go coolers at The Cardinal Market have a variety of vegan and vegetarian options
  • Check out the Everyday app, dining hall page, and station/menu labels for ingredient listings and icons that note when dishes are vegan or vegetarian. Unsure about what’s in a dish? Our cooks, chefs, supervisors and managers are happy to answer your questions, provide recipes, or share food labels for your review.
  • If you want to make your order especially clear when ordering through Grubhub, you can add special instructions to your order. When using the Grubhub kiosk, when you’re on the Checkout screen, click special requests to add a message for the kitchen staff. When using the Grubhub app, when on the View Order screen, you can add a message in order instructions for the kitchen staff.
